Blood Health Forum

13 February | 8:00 am 5:00 pm UTC+8

Did you know 1 in 5 Malaysians are iron deficient? For the first time in Malaysia, the Blood Health Forum 2026 brings together patients, the public, and healthcare professionals under one roof to focus on what truly matters: understanding, protecting, and optimising our blood health.

This public forum marks a major step forward in Patient Blood Management (PBM). The event aligns with the launch of the new Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) for Patient Blood Management, making it a timely and significant gathering for both the community and medical professionals.

What makes this forum different? This is not just a series of talks, it is an interactive, patient-focused experience designed to meet people where they are. With even a live showcase of IV iron infusion.

Participants will gain practical, real-world knowledge through expert-led sessions and dedicated learning stations covering:
– Blood health across the life stages, from infancy to the elderly
Free Hb & RET-He blood health screening (limited to first 50 participants)
How to maintain an iron-rich diet + the correct ways to consume iron supplements
Oral Iron vs IV Iron: what patients should know
– How much is too much? Gain first-hand insights from specialists on what’s “normal” and what is “abnormal” for blood loss, including blood loss during menstruation.
Patient rights, informed consent, and self-advocacy in healthcare

Whether you are managing anaemia, supporting a loved one, planning a pregnancy, or simply want to understand your body better, this forum equips you with the tools to make informed decisions.
